Inside Drain Tile

Some wet basements require the installation of a foundation drain on the inside of the basement wall rather than outside particularly when the leak is coming up between the basement floor and the wall.
When water rises through cracks in the basement slab or through the joint between the floor and wall, it's strong evidence that you have a high-water-table problem or a problem with your exterior drain tile. The flow will typically wax and wane with seasonal variations in rainfall - rising, for example several days after a heavy rain. Sometimes the uplifting pressure of the water is enough to buckle or heave the slab. The French Drain is an excellent solution to this problem.
Using a wet cut concrete saw and a pneumatic hammer to break through the floor, the contractor will excavate a trench around the perimeter of the basement wall.
Gravel and a perforated drain pipe are laid in the trench, and pitched so that water will drain to a sump pit, or into a floor drain.
In some cases, weep-holes are drilled through the basement wall just above the footing, so that water collecting outside can flow through the wall into the drain pipe channel.

A PVC molding is attached to the wall to collect water from cracks. The removed concrete is replaced.
